PHOENIX — More than three months after police said a man set fire to a shopping center in north Phoenix, businesses are starting to recover and reopen.

On Thursday, AZ MediQuip reopened its doors to customers. The store suffered heavy smoke damage.

The company provides medical equipment, mobility aids and more essentials.

"It's been a long journey, but then you go from worrying about the business to all the things you got to do,” CEO Lane Hamm said. “The thing I love about this business is we take care of people”

In March, ABC15 spoke with the owner of Paw Dazzle grooming. As of a GoFundMe update in late April, the business hopes to reopen by June.

A man has been arrested and charged for arson. He pleaded not guilty and faces trial in July.
