PHOENIX — The ABC15 Investigators were the first to come face-to-face with one of the Phoenix police officers arrested after a violent “off the books traffic stop."
Our cameras were there as Antonio Felix walked out of jail, appearing to be picked up by a bail bondsman.
This comes two days after ABC15 first broke the news that Felix and Luis Vasquez Jr. had been taken into custody and fired.

Vasquez Jr. bonded out on Sunday, followed by Felix one day later.
ABC15 Chief Investigator Dave Biscobing asked Felix multiple questions, including what happened during that “traffic stop”.
Felix got in the backseat of a waiting car and did not answer any questions.
The ABC15 Investigators also tried to reach Vasquez Jr. at the address listed on his court paperwork, but a neighbor said he didn’t live there.
While the officers aren’t answering questions, court paperwork shows they gave brief statements to investigators prior to their arrest.
They claim they conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle exhibiting driving behavior of an intoxicated driver.
“Vasquez stated he failed to report out of fear of the consequence of the multitude of policy violations,” said the court documents.
There is no explanation given for why the officer’s didn’t call the stop in, didn’t active their body cameras, report use of force, and left the female passenger on the side of the road in a high crime area.
