PHOENIX — Phoenix police say one teenage boy is dead and two others are hurt after a shooting in a west Phoenix neighborhood Wednesday.

Just after 3:30 p.m., officers were called to the area of 39th Avenue and Roosevelt Street for reports of a shooting with multiple victims.

Police confirm one person, only identified as a "juvenile male" and two other "juvenile males" were taken to a hospital but are expected to survive. All three victims are teenagers, police say.

During an investigation, Phoenix PD officials said they are also investigating a crash that occurred just before the victims were located. It's unclear what caused the crash.

On Friday, Phoenix PD announced a "juvenile" male was arrested in connection to the shooting. The victims' names have not been released as two of them remain hospitalized.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO (for Spanish) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.

ABC15 spoke with David Torres, a worker at Catalina Village Mobile Home Park, who said gunshots were heard in the area.

"Everybody was coming out of their homes. So, we had asked what was going on and they're like, go that way or whatever. Then we saw the car that was smashed into a trailer," said Torres.

Torres tells ABC15 that a co-worker began giving CPR to one of the victims.

The investigation remains ongoing.

This case is one of several recent violent incidents involving young victims.

Sixteen-year-old Preston Lord died by assault. Eighteen-year-old Joshua Carter, 17-year-old Hailey Stephens, 17-year-old Jemiere Jenkins, and 17-year-old Marc Leyva were all lost to gun violence.
