MESA, AZ — An 18-year-old is dead after being found in a Mesa canal Saturday morning.
Officials say Amari Magdaleno was found in an irrigation ditch near Stapley Drive and Brown Road. He was taken to a hospital for treatment but later died.
Police believe intoxication may have played a factor.
The investigation remains ongoing.
