Four juveniles were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Officials say it appears there were about 150 teenagers at a party attended by students from multiple area high schools.
Detectives are still working to identify the shooter(s).
On Monday, the Agua Fria High School superintendentndent provided the following statement:
Dear Agua Fria High School District Families,
This weekend, our District leadership became aware of a disturbing incident involving some of our students. We want to share what we know and reaffirm our commitment to student safety.
Late evening on Saturday, April 18th, fights broke out, and gunfire was reported at a home in our community. At this time, it appears the incident occurred during a party that was not approved or sanctioned by our schools and was not known to District personnel. The party took place after one of our school proms.
We understand that a small number of students from Canyon View High School and Millennium High School were involved. To our knowledge, there were no life-threatening or serious injuries.
Law enforcement authorities are actively investigating this incident. The District is in communication with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and will fully cooperate with them as they work to address the situation.
While this incident did not occur on a District campus nor was a school-sanctioned event, we recognize the impact it may have on our schools and community.
These situations are a reminder that open, honest conversations at home can make all the difference. Please take time to talk with your children about making safe choices, recognizing dangerous situations, and looking out for one another. Together, we can create a community where our kids feel supported, informed, and protected.
Sincerely,
Mark Yslas
Your Superintendent
