PHOENIX — A woman is recovering in the hospital after a shooting near 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street early Monday morning.
Authorities say officers responded to the area around 2:30 a.m. and found a woman who had been shot.
The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police later said they believe they located the scene of the shooting in the backyard of a nearby home.
They set up a perimeter and searched the property as part of the investigation.
The suspect in the shooting has not yet been located.
No information has been released about the suspect.
The shooting remains under investigation.
