PHOENIX — A man is seriously hurt after a reported stabbing Thursday night in downtown Phoenix.

Phoenix police say just before 9 p.m., they were called to the area near Central Avenue and Van Buren Street for a reported stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found a man with obvious signs of trauma.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not released any details on a possible suspect at this point.

The area is shut down as police continue to investigate.
