The Arizona Cardinals wrapped up their 2018 regular season with a last-second 27-24 loss at the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, assuring themselves of the NFL's worst record and, more importantly, the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Cards finished with a 3-13 record this season, tied for their worst mark since they moved to Arizona in 1988. The Cardinals will get the No. 1 overall pick for the first time since 1958, when they were the Chicago Cardinals.

The Cardinals put up a valiant effort in Seattle thanks largely to their effort on special teams. The Cards blocked two punts, one of which was recovered for a touchdown, and former ASU star Zane Gonzalez connected on a 55-yard field goal -- his second 50-plus-yard kick of the game -- to tie the game with less than two minutes left. But Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson led the Seahawks down the field in the final seconds, and kicker Sebastian Janikowski connected on a 33-yard field goal as time expired to give Seattle the victory.

Larry Fitzgerald had four catches for 36 yards and a touchdown in what might be the last game of his 15-year NFL career. His TD was the 116th of his career, tying him for sixth-most in NFL history. He also became the third player in NFL history to catch 1,300 passes in his career, joining Jerry Rice and Tony Gonzalez. He extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 227, trailing only Rice on the all-time list.

Fitzgerald is yet to decide whether he will return for another season.

Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks is reportedly likely to be fired after just one season on the job. Rumored replacements include former Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, as well as former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, though McCarthy is reportedly not interested in coaching next season. General manager Steve Keim's job may also be in jeopardy.

To date, the Cardinals' top pick since moving to Arizona came in 2001, when they drafted offensive lineman Leonard Davis with the No. 2 overall pick. The Cardinals have picked third overall four times since moving to Arizona: in 1993, 1996, 1998 and 2004. Larry Fitzgerald, who was drafted by the Cardinals with the No. 3 overall pick in '04, has become the Cardinals' all-time leader in most receiving categories and recently set a new NFL record for most receptions with a single team.

The Cardinals had the No. 1 overall pick in the 1939, 1940, 1945 and 1958 drafts, when they played in Chicago.

Fittingly, the Phoenix Suns were awarded the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft for the first time in franchise history just a few months ago. They selected former Phoenix Hillcrest Prep and Arizona Wildcats star Deandre Ayton with that pick.

Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa is the projected top pick in most mock drafts.

The first round of the 2019 NFL Draft will take place in Nashville, Tennessee on April 25 and will be broadcast live on ABC15.
