PHOENIX — A teenage boy died after being shot in October 2025 in Phoenix.

Just after 9 p.m., Phoenix police were called to the area of 12th Street and Bell Road for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located 17-year-old Marki Terril Anthony suffering from a gunshot wound.

Detectives determined "that an attempted robbery resulted in an exchange of gunfire." The teen was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police say that months later, 18-year-old Demarius Shaw, 18-year-old David Brunt, and 19-year-old Raul Clavel were located and arrested.

On February 4, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office announced the three suspects were indicted.

They are charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

A trial has been set for October.
