GILBERT, AZ — A man who drove double the speed limit and had a Blood Alcohol Content level over three times the legal limit has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for a crash that killed two women back in September of 2025.
Robb Hintzsche took a plea deal and plead ’no contest’ to two counts of second-degree murder. Judge Suzanne Marwil sentenced Hintzsche to 24 years in prison in court on Friday with a credit of 267 days already served.
The crash took the lives of two women, 33-year-old Marisa Jorgenson and 36-year-old Nicole Snell as well as her dog. Snell was as a rideshare driver, driving Jorgenson as her passenger in September 2025.
The crash happened near Recker and Ray Roads. Details in a police report showed the driver was going 89-96 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone. The report also stated that Hintzsche’s BAC was .287 at one point, more than three times the legal limit. The report also said officers saw two open single-serve bottles of alcohol in the car.

Police originally recommended two counts of second-degree murder, three counts of endangerment and one count of animal cruelty. Hintzsche agreed to a plea agreement in June 2026.
While the crash happened in September, Hintzsche, who was also injured in the crash, was arrested in late November 2025 after being released from the hospital.
Jorgenson left behind two boys and was a pharmacist. Her family said she never drank and drove. On that night, she was taking a rideshare to go meet with some friends on the “off chance” she chose to drink. Jorgenson’s family said she was an avid runner and loved to be with her boys.
Snell was well-loved in her East Valley dance community. Her friends told ABC15 she brought joy to everyone and that when she walked into her room, anyone could feel her energy.
