CHANDLER, AZ — A 12-year-old boy has died following a crash on Wednesday night in Chandler.

Two others were injured in the crash on the southbound lanes of Loop 101.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said there were "serious injuries" after the crash near Chandler Boulevard.

DPS reported three people were hurt, including a 12-year-old boy. The boy was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

Five vehicles were involved in the crash.

The investigation is underway.
