PHOENIX — A bicyclist has died after a crash on Friday morning near 24th Street and Sky Harbor Circle.
Police say they responded to a crash involving a man on an e-bike around 3:30 a.m.
On arrival, they say they found a man in critical condition. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The man has been identified as 54-year-old Derrin J Weber.
Police say Weber was traveling southbound on 24th street in the dedicated right turn lane when he disregarded the traffic signal and continued south through the intersection, where he was struck by the vehicle.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
