PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
The collision occurred around 8:15 p.m. Sunday near 19th Street and Broadway Road.
Phoenix police say a pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was identified Monday as 76-year-old Roger Jackson.
The vehicle involved in the collision did not stay at the scene and left before officers arrived.
No description of the vehicle has been provided, but police believe it was traveling eastbound on Broadway Road when the crash occurred.
The investigation is ongoing.
