WITTMANN, AZ — Multiple water rescues were reported across the Valley and other parts of the state as powerful storms moved through Friday.

Officials responded to the area after reports of two people who had been seen going missing by a bystander who called 9-1-1.

Crews tell ABC15 they searched northbound and southbound of the wash on foot and with drones.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office told ABC15 the man and woman who were reported missing have been found safely and are at home.

"The male assisted her and was also swept away by the water," officials said.

Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix rescue crews also saved a man from his vehicle that was stalled in the flooded Indian Bend Wash. Thankfully, he was not injured.
