A chiseled blue wooden flag brings Debbie Edenhofer to the edge of tears.
The mother of fallen DPS trooper Tyler Edenhofer was given the unique artwork as a gift from the owner and manager of Woods & Whites, a local artisan gallery.
Like Trooper Edenhofer, the artist is a veteran. When he heard what about the 24-year-old trooper's death, Brett Draxton immediately went to work.
Deanna Zouari, the owner of the gallery, said it is the least they can do to try to comfort Edenhofer's mother and thank all Department of Public Safety troopers for their service to our community.
Trooper Edenhofer was laid to rest last week .
