The 48th Fiesta Bowl will be a battle between a team making its second appearance and a team that has never competed in the game.

Undefeated Central Florida will take on SEC powerhouse LSU in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium on New Year's Day. UCF upset Baylor 52-42 in the 2014 Fiesta Bowl, while the Tigers will make their first appearance.

The game will begin at 11 a.m. Arizona time on Jan. 1. Tickets can be purchased here.

UCF currently enjoys the nation's longest winning streak (25 games). The Knights went a perfect 13-0 last season and are 12-0 this year, including a 56-41 win over Memphis in Saturday's American Athletic Conference Championship Game.

The Knights declared themselves 2017 national champions after being left out of the College Football Playoff last year but finishing the season as the NCAA's only undefeated team, ending the season with a victory over Auburn in the Peach Bowl.

LSU is 9-3 overall and 5-3 in the SEC this season. The Tigers' most recent game was a 74-72 loss to Texas A&M in seven overtimes, which set a new NCAA FBS record for most points in a game.

The Fiesta Bowl has been played every year since 1971. Penn State defeated Washington in last year's game, giving the Nittany Lions a record seventh Fiesta Bowl victory.
