FLAGSTAFF, AZ — Arizona Snowbowl crews are already preparing for what forecasters say could be one of the best ski and snowboard seasons in years, thanks to a strong El Niño weather pattern.
Even as desert dwellers sweat out the extreme heat, employees at Arizona Snowbowl outside Flagstaff are working ahead for winter.
They are installing a new conveyor lift for beginners and clearing nearly 100 acres of downed trees at the resort in anticipation of an epic season.
Recent reports predict Arizona could offer some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the nation this season because of the strong El Niño pattern.
