SUN LAKES, AZ — A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Sun Lakes near SR87 and Hunt Highway.
The plane landed on Gila River Indian Community land.
The incident occurred sometime before 9 p.m. Friday night.
Hunt Highway was closed for almost an hour but has since reopened.
According to the Gila River Police Department, one person was on the plane and was not injured.
It's not known what caused the plane to land in a field.
