BUCKEYE, AZ — Authorities are investigating after a man's body was recovered from a canal near Buckeye on Sunday morning.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call near Southern and Wilson avenues after reports of a man floating in the canal.
Fire personnel removed the man from the water, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
MCSO said the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
No additional information has been released.
