GILBERT, AZ — Police have released surveillance photos of a man wanted in connection with a shooting and attempted robbery at a Pizza Hut yesterday.

Officers responded to the restaurant near Baseline and Power roads around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a shooting. Police say the suspect walked into the store and pulled out a handgun. He shot an employee and then ran off, according to the Gilbert Police Department.

The images released by police show the suspect wearing a black t-shirt with a design on the front, a black hat, tan cargo shorts, black gloves and red tennis shoes. Police say the suspect has tattoos on both forearms.

The employee suffered a non-life threatening injury and has been released from the ICU but remains hospitalized, police said.
