CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Attempted home invaders accused of shooting Chandler homeowner

CHANDLER, AZ — Chandler police and Silent Witness are searching for two people suspected of shooting a homeowner during an attempted home invasion Thursday.

Officials say the two armed suspects tried to gain entry into a home near Chandler Heights and Gilbert roads at around 2:13 a.m.

When the armed suspects tried to enter the house, the homeowner awoke to the noise of their attempt and was shot by one of the suspects.

The first suspect is described as a white male with a thin build and was seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt with white body armor over it, blue jeans, boots, gray skull cap, and a green gaiter style mask. He was seen armed with a shotgun on the scene.

The second suspect is described as a white male with a thin build and was seen wearing eyeglasses, a plaid long sleeve shirt with blue jeans, boots, a camo baseball cap, and a light-colored gaiter style mask. He was seen armed with a handgun.

The two fled the scene in a dark-colored passenger car.

Officials say the homeowner is recuperating from his injuries.
