A driver fled after colliding with a parked Phoenix Police Department vehicle, which was at the scene of another collision, and now police are searching for that driver.
The incident occurred near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road after 2:30 a.m. as authorities were investigating a different collision, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The police vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the collision, but the driver accelerated after the crash, almost hitting two officers within in the intersection, police say.
The driver fled and police later recovered the vehicle near 55th Avenue and Camelback Road. The suspect has not yet been located.
No officers were injured in the incident and the two crashes are believed to be unrelated, according to officials.
