Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has issued a declaration of emergency, with an 8 p.m. curfew that is set to begin Sunday night and is in effect for the next week.

"This gives law enforcement an additional tool to prevent the lawlessness we’ve seen here and in cities nationwide. Police will be equipped to make arrests of individuals who are planning to riot, loot or cause damage and unrest," Ducey said in his tweet.

Shopping centers across Arizona closed in preparation for Sunday's protests and potential looting, like ones seen at Scottsdale Fashion Square Saturday night.
