Man dead after early morning shooting in Phoenix, suspect still at large

Police say a man has died after succumbing to his injuries from a shooting. 

Phoenix police were called to the area of 15th Avenue and Buckeye Road around 3:30 a.m. Saturday after witnesses called 9-1-1 to report hearing shots fired.

Once on scene police say they found one victim with gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Police have identified the victim as 40-year-old Delvin McCowin.

Police are investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
