Police identify man found shot and killed in Phoenix

PHOENIX - Police are investigating after a man was found shot and killed in Phoenix on Friday night. 

Just before 11 a.m., officers responded to an area near 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road for a report of unknown trouble. 

As officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Omar Gonzalez-Martinez in the roadway suffering from gunshot injuries, according to Phoenix police. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
