The battle to get votes in the Arizona election is taking a nasty turn. Political signs are being damaged across the valley and now, former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he's being targeted.
ABC15 found Arpaio signs at six different locations across the Valley with damage. Some had the word "guilty" spray painted on them. Others were smashed and slashed.
"I want them prosecuted and I'm going to offer a reward to anybody that comes up with the information on the arrest and conviction," Arpaio told ABC15. "I'm going to pay a reward and pursue this to the end."
This isn't the first time we've seen vandals strike this election season. Representative Kelly Townsend told ABC15 vandals were spray painting her signs. She even installed a camera trying to catch whoever was responsible.
ABC15 also obtained video of a man cutting holes into Rodney Glassman's signs. Glassman is running for corporation commission.
An exclusive poll revealed 13% of likely GOP voters are giving Arpaio their support in the US Senate race. The poll placed Martha McSally in the lead among GOP voters, with Kelli Ward coming in second. Primary election day is Aug. 28.
