PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a man is dead after a shooting involving their officers.
Officers were called to the area of 35th Avenue and Osborn Road around 6:30 p.m. Friday for reports of a domestic violence incident at an apartment complex.
When police arrived, they found 40-year-old Jason Anthony Arrieta armed with a rifle. He was given commands, which officials say he did not follow.
Arrieta was shot by police and taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police say no officers were injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
