PHOENIX — Starting Sunday, Nov. 22, Banner Health is putting a no-visitor policy in place as its facilities enter "red status" amid coronavirus concerns.

Banner says its "red status" changes are put in place when community positivity rate is 10% or greater, changes to PPE use for team members, and visitor limitations.

Banner Health said this week that while in "red status," visitors will not be allowed, though there are some exceptions for end of life situations, pediatric, labor and delivery, and care for those with disabilities.

"This time around, we’re better prepared and feel confident we can get through this together," Banner Health said in a statement. "We appreciate your strength and dedication to your patients as we face this second wave and know we can count on one another to stay #BannerStrong."

Mayo Clinic, Phoenix VA, and Valleywise Health have also implemented new visitor policies.
