Many have complained about it -- the blinding glare from the new the Marina Heights office complex, also known as the State Farm building in Tempe.
Rush hour is the peak time for the intense reflection. It had traffic slowed to a crawl on Loop 202 Wednesday evening.
According to a city spokesperson, the transit and transportation staff doesn't believe the glass building causes hazardous driving conditions and there is no plan at this time to rectify it.
The City of Tempe released this statement today:
Community members are asked to contact Tempe 311 to report issues, request service and ask questions. The phone number is 480-350-4311, there's also a mobile app and a webpage for online requests. The city would encourage any drivers who experience difficulties to report those so we are aware if and when it is occurring.
People complained in December shortly after the building opened. Along with drivers, fans at Sun Devil Stadium said the reflection was blinding.
