There's some confusion over which day is National Hot Dog Day.

Some say it was July 14 this year, others say it's Saturday, July 23, the same date as last year.

But either way, we win because local hot dog shops are offering more deals.

Here are four places we found in the Valley:

Detroit Coney is offering a BOGO on its Coney Dogs. Detroit Coney was named the best Valley hot dog shop by Yelp.  It was also named one of the Best Hamburger Places in the USA by National Geographic.
IF YOU GO: 930 West Broadway Road, Tempe or 16 W Adams St, Phoenix

Short Leash Hot Dogs is holding 'The Wurst Festival Ever' on July 23. It promises local chefs and tons of puns if you enter their puns competition. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Torch Theater's support of local comedians.
IF YOU GO: 110 E Roosevelt St, Phoenix 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.

7-Eleven is selling its Quarter Pound Big Bite hot dog for $1.00 July 23.
