This is the Mission San Xavier del Bac near Tucson, Arizona.
It’s the oldest intact European structure in Arizona. It’s a historic Catholic mission founded by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692.
The original mission was demolished in an Apache raid in 1770 and the one standing today was built in 1783.
Inside you’ll find a Baroque architectural style and original artwork.
Vivid paintings, mosaics, and sculptures make you feel like you’re in Europe.
Today you can take a tour or attend mass. The public is always welcome.
The mission was created to serve the needs of the local community and it still does to this day.
