SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Diners looking to nosh on aged steak and seafood will soon have another restaurant to try when Chicagoland's Maple and Ash opens in Scottsdale, which will be the restaurant's first location in Arizona and first outside of Chicago.
The restaurant announced this week that it would begin accepting dinner reservations on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at the Scottsdale Waterfront, the shopping and dining area near Camelback and Scottsdale roads across from Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.
The restaurant will take over the former Wildfish Seafood and Grill space.
To start, the restaurant's hours will be 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Sunday - Thursday, and 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The restaurant describes itself as a "modern, wood-fired take on the class American steakhouse." The menu features different cuts of dry-aged steaks, as well as chicken, lamb, pork, high-end seafood and handmade pasta. Most steaks range between $39-$60, though a trio of larger steaks reach the $120-$175 mark.

The kitchen is led by Chef Danny Grant, who grew up in Scottsdale and has worked at restaurants in Chicago and internationally, according to an online bio.
In 2011 and 2012, while working at the now-closed RIA and Balsan restaurants, Grant earned two Michelin stars, the bio states. In 2015, he joined "What If...Syndicate," the hospitality group behind Maple and Ash.
"This has been an incredible journey and we can't wait to open our doors to the Scottsdale community," Grant said in a prepared statement. "It has been a dream of ours to come home to where I began my culinary career and share the Maple and Ash experience."
The 10,000-square-foot restaurant has a 14-foot wood-burning hearth, dining room and lounge, an outdoor dining area, and private and semi-private dining rooms.
