A controversial "advocacy" group has likely become the nation's most prolific filer of lawsuits under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Advocates for Individuals with Disabilities (AID) filed more than 1,700 lawsuits in Maricopa County Superior Court from February to August in 2016.

ABC15 scoured court records to pull addresses for every case. In about 1,100 lawsuits, ABC15 obtained AID's audit reports, which include pictures of the alleged violations.

In the interactive map below, you'll find details about each lawsuit, including case numbers, filing dates, addresses, and links to the audit reports.

Editor's note: ABC15 created this map to track and quantify lawsuits filed by AID. Just because a business has been sued by AID doesn't necessarily mean the locations were out of  ADA compliance. An ABC15 investigation uncovered multiple cases in which AID made mistakes.
