More than 1500 Arizona homes were foreclosed on in the month of February according to data just released by RealtyTrac, a real estate data supplier.
It's down significantly from the beginning of the year.
In February, 23% less properties received a foreclosure filing in Arizona than January and 4% less than the same time last year.
Compared to foreclosures nationwide, Arizona is is faring better month to month and is similar year to year. The number of properties that received a foreclosure filing in the U.S. in February was 3% higher than the previous month and 4% lower than the same time in 2015.
Four zip codes in in Arizona had 20 or more foreclosure filings in February:
- 85326 in Buckeye (21)
- 85374 in Surprise (21)
- 85345 in Peoria (20)
- 85041 in Phoenix (20)
