We can never apparate into the world of Harry Potter but it’s getting easier and easier to make our homes look like we live there.
British design company MinaLima has released five striking, Harry Potter-themed wallpapers for 89 pounds (about $110) per large roll. Each roll is 0.5 x 10 meters (19 â inches x 32 feet 9 ½ inches).
MinaLima’s creators, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, were the graphic designers for the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films. The pair were responsible for creating such film artifacts as the Marauder’s Map and all The Daily Prophet newspapers seen on screen. So you know their new wallpaper collection was painstakingly created and includes plenty of detail.
Here they are pictured on their Instagram account, @minalima design:
Among the new wallpaper designs is a “Marauder’s Map” pattern that will have you whispering, “Mischief managed!” at your walls.
There’s a bold patterned wallpaper with issues of “The Daily Prophet.” Lima designed and wrote all the stories for this wizarding newspaper so this would make fun reading, besides being an eye-catching accent wall.
Bibliophiles will likely covet the “Hogwarts Library Book Covers” wallpaper with its rich colors and detailed assortment of books in the design.
There’s the “Black Family Tapestry” wallpaper, from Sirius Black’s 12 Grimmauld Place, too — minus the burned spots where Sirius’ mother tried to blast away traces of relatives who weren’t proud enough of their pure-blood ancestry.
“Atmospheric and opulent, we think it would make a fabulous feature wall in a large space and would feel cosy in an alcove or study,” MinaLima said in its Instagram post about the design.
And finally, you can paper your walls using a light blue with golden snitches “Quidditch” wallpaper, which was designed as a Quidditch World Cup set background dressing. We think any child (or adult) would have golden slumbers surrounded by this cheerful design.
MinaLima ships internationally, so if you’re willing to splurge, these gorgeous wallpapers can be easily summoned to your home.
