TEMPE, AZ — A teenager was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning.

Tempe Police say the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near College Avenue and Continental Drive, south of McDowell Road.

A 14-year-old reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The Tonalea K-8 school, part of the Scottsdale Unified School District, is nearby, but it's unclear if the teen was a student at the school.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
