The Cleveland Browns announced Friday the organization has waived embattled quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Manziel struggled since being taken with the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft. He started only eight games for the Browns but off-field issues plagued the Heisman Trophy winner.
Cleveland-based WEWS reported Manziel was involved in an incident in Texas where Fort Worth officers were dispatched after a call from Manziel's ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
