The Arizona Cardinals are in need of some depth in their secondary. They may have found some Monday.

USA TODAY's Luke Easterling reports the Cardinals will sign cornerback Mike Jenkins, a 6-foot, 200-pounder who has eight years of NFL experience. Jenkins played in 14 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.

Jenkins was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft and was a Pro Bowler in 2009. He has 10 interceptions, 54 passes defended and 218 total tackles in his pro career.

If the report is accurate, the Cardinals will hope Jenkins will provide some needed depth at the cornerback position after Jerraud Powers, a three-year starter for the Cardinals, left the team via free agency to sign with the Baltimore Ravens in May.
