The Arizona Cardinals will head into the 2017 season looking to improve upon last year's disappointing 7-8-1 campaign.

But oddsmakers are skeptical that 2017 will be much different from 2016 for the Birdgang.

Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook just released its win-loss predictions for all 32 NFL teams heading into 2017. Its prediction for the Cards is eight victories, which wouldn't be enough to make the playoffs.

Check out the Cardinals' complete 2017 regular-season schedule.

Westgate projects the Seattle Seahawks at 10.5 wins, good enough for what would be their second straight NFC West division championship. Their other projected NFC division winners are the Green Bay Packers (10.5 wins), Dallas Cowboys (9.5) and Atlanta Falcons (9.5), with the Carolina Panthers (9.5) and New York Giants (9) as the wild cards.

The Cardinals averaged over 11 wins per season from 2013-15 but took a step back in 2016 thanks in part to special-teams troubles, early-season struggles by quarterback Carson Palmer and an injury-riddled offensive line.

The New England Patriots, last season's Super Bowl champions, are predicted to win an NFL-best 12.5 games this season. No other team is better than 10.5.

Westgate has the Cardinals finishing in second place in the NFC West for the second straight season, as the Rams are projected to win six games and the 49ers are projected to win five.
