Former Arizona State Sun Devils assistant Chris Ball has been named the new head football coach at Northern Arizona.
Ball served as safeties coach and co-defensive coordinator at ASU under then-head coach Todd Graham from 2012-15. He served as the defensive coordinator at Memphis the last three seasons.
Ball will replace Jerome Souers, who stepped down as Lumberjacks head coach after 21 seasons at the helm.
