An official with the Arizona Coyotes confirms that the team is exploring other venue options in the Valley.
According to a statement, downtown Phoenix is one of the options the team is eyeing. Last week, co-owner and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said they could be forming a joint arena with the Phoenix Suns.
The Coyotes extended lease agreement in Glendale expires after the 2016-2017 season.
