On Monday's Cardinals Countdown webcast the big story of the day was about Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu who tore his ACL Sunday night in Philadelphia.
Mathieu had just intercepted a Sam Bradford pass when he fell awkwardly on his right leg and dropped to the field immediately. He did get up and walk off the field under his own power, but today’s MRI revealed a torn ACL in his right knee.
We also discussed how exciting it is that the Cardinals are now 12 & 2 on the season and have won the NFC West for the first time since 2009. But how does the injury to Tyrann Mathieu affect the defense for the rest of the season?
The Cardinals host the Green Bay Packers Sunday afternoon in Glendale in a key NFC Match-up between two teams that are separated by just two games as we approach this year’s playoffs.
And, it’s Christmas week! We heard from some of the Cardinals players about their favorite Christmas movies, presents and of course, some of their favorite memories!
