With training camp set to begin Thursday, the Arizona Cardinals placed four players, including All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu, on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list Tuesday.
Mathieu, who was selected to the 2015 Pro Bowl, is still recovering from an ACL tear he suffered late last season. The good news: His rehab seems to be coming along just fine, and he says he'll be back on the field soon.

The Cardinals also placed cornerback Justin Bethel (foot), defensive tackle Frostee Rucker (foot) and linebacker Zack Wagenmann (foot) on the PUP list.
"Coach Bruce Arians had previously said Mathieu and Rucker likely weren't going to be ready for the beginning of camp. Bethel had been hopeful he'd be ready," Cardinals insider Darren Urban wrote.
Players assigned to the PUP list are eligible to come off the list at any time.
