CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett said he was punched by a fan on Wednesday.

Garrett tweeted that a fan hopped out of his car to take a picture with the NFL star and proceeded to punch him.

According to a police report, Garrett was driving on East 9th Street talking on his cell phone, when a 24-year-old man driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt pulled up next to his vehicle and asked for a picture.

Garrett told police he said to wait while he finished his conversation.

The man approached Garrett's car window while it was down and took a picture of him, according to the report.

Once the man took the picture, he punched Garrett, according to the report.

The man immediately jumped back into his car and drove away, police said.

A Twitter user witnessed the punch and took a video of the man driving away. Warning, the video contains explicit language.

Garrett tweeted that the punch felt like a "pillow tap."

Garrett responded to another tweet agreeing that if he would have punched the man back, he would get sued.

Fortunately, Garrett didn't suffer any injuries; he was just surprised.

A Cleveland Browns spokesperson said the team is aware of the situation and that the proper law enforcement authorities have been notified.
