LAS VEGAS — Arizona State sophomore running back Eno Benjamin has set a new Sun Devil record for most rushing yards in a single season.

Benjamin broke the record with a 13-yard run in the second quarter of the Las Vegas Bowl between ASU and Fresno State. He scored on a 17-yard touchdown run on the next play to give the Sun Devils their first lead of the game.

Benjamin broke Woody Green's record of 1,565 yards, a record that had stood since 1972.

Benjamin also set a new ASU single-game rushing record when he racked up 312 yards in a win over Oregon State in September. That record had stood since 1973.
