GILA COUNTY, AZ — The Billy Fire is prompting some evacuations in Gila County.
The wildfire has been burning since early July and has scorched more than 3,000 acres and is 46% contained.
However, on Tuesday morning, the Murphy Ranch area was placed on "GO" status for evacuations.
The flames were reportedly pushed by southwestern winds on Monday through Pueblo Canyon and toward Murphy Ranch.
Officials believe the fire was started by lightning.
