PHOENIX-  Get your bathing suit, sunscreen and favorite drinking buddy ready because you are not going to want to miss this.

Saturday, June 22nd, Suds & Slides will be welcoming all 21 and older peeps to an adult outdoor party full of water slides and games, cold beer and margaritas, shaved ice, dunk tanks, and so much more.

This outdoor bash starts at 2 p.m. and will be held at Riverview Park in Mesa. Tickets include a single admission pass or a group admission pass with a discounted rate. Get your tickets here. Currently, more than 1,600 people are either interested or plan on attending the event.

Jen Pruett, public and media relations director for HDE Agency, who puts on Suds & Slides, said there were 1,000 attendees at last year’s event and this year their goal is 2,000.

Summer is always a difficult time for events, Pruett said. It’s too hot to have outdoor festivals… until now! Last year we came up with this idea- what if we had a summer event that is for adults only but makes you feel like a kid again, enjoying summer, summer camp style games, pools, water slides, all the things but with booze.

Pruett said people brought groups of friends last year and it was a massive hit. They’re excited to  bring the event back to the community again this year.

Some activities include:

Giant inflatable water slide

Tug of war

Dunk tank

Three-legged race

Giant pillow fight

Mini golf

Beer pong

Life-sized foosball

Live-action hungry hippo games

Part of the proceeds from Suds & Slides will go to the Foster Hope Foundation which works to help Arizona’s foster children.

Through fundraising efforts and donations Pruett said. The Foster Hope Foundation can provide much-needed supplies, clothing, personal items, activities, lectures, workshops and scholarships to children within the foster care system.

Bring your sunblock, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, hats and all the typical lake-day things you would pack, minus the food. Find out more information and how to get tickets on their website.
