Self-driving cars are a concern for many, but technology companies are still working to test them in various hazards and situations.

Waymo released a video showing a self-driving car navigating through an Arizona dust storm.

The footage shows the vehicle driving down the street through a thick dust cloud. Its technology still detects another vehicle and passenger despite the thick dust.

"Using radar and lidar, we are designing our system to help detect other road users in a haboob, even when camera visibility is limited," Waymo said on their blog.

They are testing self-driving cars in 25 different cities with different climates and weather activities.

Waymo says their vehicles are able to detect and navigate through extreme weather changes, and if necessary, stop operation until it is safe to drive again, according to their blog.
