Donations are pouring into Texas but there's one item in short supply, and it's something very personal that we all use everyday.

The evacuees in Texas are desperately in need of underwear. Volunteers working at shelters have been putting out the call for help.
That is what they're collecting in a Scottsdale real estate office. Donations are already starting to come in.

Ruth Wachs, an associate broker at Berkshire Hathaway Arizona Properties, learned about this need first hand. After hearing stories from her children who were evacuated from their homes in Texas.

"That is one small thing you start with, underwear from the bottom up."
From the bottom up, that is what she's calling this effort.

And it's just one way to take action to help all of the people who had to leave their homes who grabbed whatever they could in a hurry.

We spoke to Wachs' daughter-in-law who suffered minor flood damage. She's now dedicating her time to helping others stuck in shelters.
They're looking for all shapes and sizes, underwear for men, women and children.

If you'd like to help you can drop off your donations at 14635 N. Kierland Blvd. in Scottsdale.
