Candidates in Arizona's Senate election will debate next month.
Incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain and challenger Democratic U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick will debate at 7 p.m. on October 10 at the studio for Arizona PBS in downtown Phoenix.
The hour-long debate will be moderated by Arizona PBS' Ted Simons and Arizona Republic reporter Yvonne Wingett Sanchez and air live on Arizona PBS and online.
A poll taken before the primary found McCain with 42 percent support, compared to Kirkpatrick's 36 percent.
McCain is seeking his sixth term as senator. Kirkpatrick has represented the First Congressional District since 2013 and also did so from 2009 to 2011.
